3D-Printing & CAD

Huppert Engineering offers 3D-Printing services and we are able to provide components of all sizes for a customers review.  We offer SLA (Stereolithography), FFF (fused filament fabrication) and FDM (fused deposition modeling).  

SLA print sizes range from very small parts to an envelope size of 600mm x 600mm x 500mm (23.6in x 23.6in x 19.7in).  FFF print size ranges from very small parts to a maximum envelope size of 610mm x 610mm x 1219mm) (24in x 24in x 48in).  FDM print sizes range from very small parts to a maximum envelope size of 406mm x 406mm x 355mm (16in x 14in x 16in)

Should the part size be larger, parts can be engineered to be produced in separate pieces and then joined together.  

Parts can be produced for all industries such as automotive, commercial diesel, industrial, consumer goods and agricultural amongst others.  

Product development activities are enhanced when a product is converted from a CAD file to an actual 3D-printed part, which is extremely beneficial for engineering analysis. Meaning, when you can actually see a part and hold a part, engineers and other members of a project team can physically collaborate on the design.

3D-Printing can be very advantageous for customers when working on preliminary designs and also when working on Request For Quote packages or commonly referred to as RFQ.

Printing smaller scale models of a customer’s parts can enhance the design review process and help expedite quoting activities. Printing smaller scale hand held components or assemblies work ideally, as the costs and lead-times are less costly.  Larger print size capabilities are available and as per the print sizes listed above.  

Huppert Engineering also offers CAD and file transfer services.  These include Native file format transfers and we are also capable of receiving OEM data transfers through Trubiquity/Rocket (GM/FCA) and Syncplicity (Ford) among others. We work with the following software: Unigraphics, Solidworks, Catia V5, and other popular CAD drafting software.

Huppert Engineering can provide engineering support to create fully functional 3D-Models representing our customers projects. We offer engineering services that can help optimize these designs for cost & manufacturing.

Additionally, “combined” with our 3D printing capabilities, we offer Rapid prototyping support through in-house facility and with strategic partners when that is more appropriate.
